Back From Christmas
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a great holiday spent with those they love. I ended up with just a couple of days off but was lucky enough to enjoy it with Darrell and our furry family (which grew by two more cats last week). Most of that time was spent relaxing at home – a nearly perfect way to celebrate the holiday. It was only nearly perfect because I did not make it out fishing.
I did, however, make out like a bandit over the holidays and had lots of fishing gear to play with. The Clam Yukon ice shelter that was eventually setup in our living room is guaranteed to make the hard-water season more enjoyable. I can’t wait to put this to the test. You can be sure there will be a gear review once we have gotten a chance to use it.
Lures have been sorted and packed away in tackle trays, new ice line has been spooled, rod and reel combos have been put together, and everything now sits, waiting for ice to finally appear. The holidays gave us a chance to prepare but now I really need to hit the ice. Please, please let there be cold temperatures for the next week or so!
