Online Fishing Tournament From Crestliner

A few weeks ago I found a story about Crestliner’s plans to hold an online fishing tournament. I was intrigued by the concept so I went to the Crestliner Trumped site to find out more.

It’s a simple concept really:

  1. Request an official Trumped ruler (the ruler is free and can be requested online);
  2. Catch a long walleye, pike, bass or crappie and take two photographs – one of the fish against the ruler and one of you holding the fish;
  3. Upload the pictures to a leaderboard.

Prizes are given out each month for the longest fish and the top 5 contenders of each leaderboard will be entered to win the grand prize of a Crestliner boat.

I love the idea that I can compete against other anglers without leaving my home waters. This is a competition that fits perfectly into anyone’s budget – it’s free – and you can fish anywhere.

The contest begins May 2, 2011 and ends August 15, 2011.

More Contests…

Bass Parade – As some of you may know I had the great luck to be selected by Bass Parade as the first winner in their G. Loomis rod giveaway. My new rod is the GLX DSR820S dropshot rod…I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

But here’s the best news – Bass Parade has two more G. Loomis rods to give away. Head over to Bass Parade and find out how you can win one of these outstanding rods.

Wired2Fish – Want to win an Ego S2 Slider Net? Head over to Wired2Fish and get yourself entered into the contest to win one of 3 nets. These are really neat looking nets and sure to be a great asset for you.
