Spooktacular Fun At Terra Cotta’s Haunted Forest This Halloween
The little village of Terra Cotta, located just outside of Halton Hills, is one of the most beautiful, peaceful, fantastic areas to live. I should know, since I lived in the area for many years. Yet, something happens every Halloween as the peacefulness of the hills are replaced with strange, eery noises, mysterious figures, and lots of shrieking followed by laughter, all coming from the Terra Cotta Conservation Area. Strangers to the area may be forgiven for wondering what all the commotion is, but those in the area know that the forest has once again been taken over by ghosts, goblins and witches as the Haunted Forest returns to the conservation area.
On Friday, October 25, 2013, and Saturday, October 26, 2013, between 5:30 pm and 9 pm, Terra Cotta Conservation Area is turned into a Haunted Forest complete with Creepy Maze, Haunted Wagon Rides, Nature Activities, and Storytelling By Bonfire. There’s even a BBQ! Around each corner lies a spooky surprise (and believe me, I know a few of the volunteers, they sure can be spooky!) and kids will have the time of their lives as they venture around the forest. Is there a more perfect way to spend Halloween than by walking around the woods at night? I think not.
This event is organized by the amazing people at Credit Valley Conservation and Friends of Terra Cotta. It takes a lot of wonderful volunteers to pull together an event like this, and they would love nothing more than to have a great turnout at Terra Cotta Conservation this Friday and Saturday, Do something new with the family this year – dress up in a costume, pack a flashlight, and prepare for a spooktacular evening!
