Some Pics From My Garden
We haven’t been out fishing in a few days, so there’s nothing much to write about on that front. However, today I had time to visit with my gardens (yay!) and I thought I’d share some pictures (including a few of Jack, since he’s so photogenic).
With any luck, we’ll be out on the water tomorrow. I’m going through withdrawal from not fishing since Tuesday and am in desperate need of some water time. Happy Canada Day!

I’m so jealous of that Japanese maple, and your flowers are lovely.
I don’t have any roses or peonies myself, but my hollyhocks, pixie lilies, and larkspur are all going gangbusters. My dahlias are getting ready to bloom, but my volunteer giant sunflowers have plenty of growing yet to do. My veggie garden’s going strong, too. I love gardening 😛
A fellow gardening enthusiast – yay! I got lucky with the Japanese Maple – I found it on sale for $10 at the end of the season a couple of years ago. It’s doing really well despite where I planted it (right in the prevailing wind). I would love to have hollyhocks, I just haven’t gotten as far as putting any in. I tried sunflowers a couple of times and had no luck. The veggie garden is more Darrell’s domain, but it’s covered in weeds right now… I’d love to see pics of your garden on your blog 🙂
Your flowers are beautiful and your camera work superb! As I get older I have grown much fonder of those with green thumbs.
I enjoy having interesting things to look at around the property, so having a green thumb is a must. I’ll admit, it’s hard to stay on top of the weeds and getting rid of dead growth, but it’s worth it when I get some nice pictures 🙂 Thanks for having a look!
