Fancy Fishing Ears
Today I received these beautiful earrings in the mail courtesy of a giveaway from Flyfishergirl.com.
I am not a big fan of jewellery…except when it comes to earrings. I love earrings and when I saw these I knew that I had to have a pair. What better way to show off my passion when I’m away from the water? And since receiving these tonight and wearing them for a bit I’ve decided I’ll have to order at least another pair.
These earrings are the creation of Damselfly & Co.’s Amanda S. Poitevin. Amanda is a history teacher, cellist, fly fisher, and incredibly talented jewelry designer. Take a moment to look through her store and see her other outstanding creations.
A big thanks goes to Flyfishergirl.com for having this giveaway. It’s a very informative site and I encourage you to visit.
On another note – there are only two more weeks until trout opener in Southern Ontario! It’s so close I can almost feel the line flying off the reel.
On our walk tonight we stopped at the river and spent some time watching brookies rise on the hatch. I swear it’s almost a spectator sport. Watch a fly being taken along by the current and inching ever closer to the ambush zone. Will the fly make it through the ambush zone? Or will a brookie come up for a sip? The brookies were pretty hungry tonight, very few flies made it through the danger zone. What a great way to spend the night.

Boy, you’re just in a winning zone. Have you bought a lottery ticket yet?
I’ve bought a few lottery tickets lately but I don’t seem to have any luck with them.
